Partnership leaders may assume that their partners have already completed the necessary leadership and presentation training to be successful. “If they are a senior leader, they must have years of leadership experience, and they should be able to communicate clearly.”
The problem is that the training they receive might not specifically help them in the context of working in a partnership. Or, their previous partnership training might not be provided in enough detail or with adequate context.
For example, a leader might be comfortable presenting to their organizational leaders, but fall apart when on camera or when being interviewed by the media.
